The Montgomery County SPCA will offer Spring Pet Photos on Saturday and Sunday, March 31st and April 1st, from 11am to 3pm at the Amsterdam Riverfront Center in downtown Amsterdam. For a $10 per photo donation, a spring photo of your pet will be taken by itself, with its owner or with the whole family. Also welcome are individuals and families without pets who would like to have a spring photo taken. The digital photos with frame will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. A choice of new backgrounds will be available. The event will also feature shopping for pets and their people at the MCSPCA Shelter Shop and additional vendors, a cat adoption clinic, microchip and pet nail-clipping specials, a bake sale, “Ask the Dog Trainer” advice, raffles and a flower bulb sale. To insure the safety of all pets, all dogs must be leashed and all smaller animals (cats, ferrets, rabbits, birds, etc.) must be caged while in the Riverfront Center (except during the photo session). All proceeds from this spring event directly benefit the homeless animals at the Montgomery County SPCA Animal Shelter. Visit www.mc-spca.org or Facebook, or email info@mc-spca.org, for more information about this and other events of the Montgomery County SPCA. The Montgomery County SPCA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of homeless, abandoned, neglected and abused animals in the Montgomery County area. Funded primarily by public donations and nominal fees, the MCSPCA receives no funding from governmental agencies nor from national animal welfare organizations such as the ASPCA or Humane Society of the US.
